🚀 About the Role
It’s a 6 months internship opportunity (with the possibility to join full-time). The incumbent will
be working closely with the Swiss research organization and Products & Business teams in
India and Switzerland. The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop various statistical, analytical, and ML-based algorithms.
- Lead theoretical and experimental validation of developed algorithms (internal and external)
- Use ML and Deep Learning concepts to build advanced data intelligence products/features
- Serve customers as per the decided project plan and customer requirements.
- Analyze large time-series data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Build, test/validate ML/Statistical learning or isolated physics-informed models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Work on global climatic models, and meteorological data and develop weather forecasts.
- Apply statistical analysis and hypothesis testing techniques to validate/optimize models.
- Implement iterative development processes to refine/improve data analytics models.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in time-series data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
✅ Your Profile
The qualifications that are necessary for someone to fill this position are the following
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Data Science/Statistics, or a related field.- Strong proficiency in Python and its data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, and TensorFlow.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience - in building statistical, machine learning and deep learning models/algorithms.
- Familiarity with time-series analysis techniques, including PyCaret, GluonTS, TensorFlow Probability, ARIMA, LSTM, and Prophet.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Proficiency in linear/non-linear modeling, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
